This website is a self-built demonstration project. It was designed, built and optimised from scratch by the site owner as a portfolio piece, and it is submitted together with a job application for SEO Specialist / Independent Website Operation roles.
Why this site exists
Rather than describing SEO work in a CV, this site demonstrates it in a live environment. Everything visitors can see or measure here was set up and is maintained by the site owner.
What was actually done on this site
- Infrastructure & hosting – domain registration, DNS records, a self-managed cloud server, Nginx, PHP and MySQL, all configured without a website builder.
- HTTPS / SSL – issued and installed a Let’s Encrypt certificate covering both the root domain and the
wwwversion, plus automatic renewal, HTTP to HTTPS 301 redirects and HSTS. - Technical SEO – XML sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical URLs, crawlability and indexation control, mobile responsiveness and page speed work.
- On-page SEO – target keyword selection, title and meta description writing, heading hierarchy, internal linking and image optimisation.
- Keyword research & content strategy – search intent mapping, keyword clustering, a content calendar and long-form English articles written for B2B buyers.
- Measurement – Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, sitemap submission and index monitoring.
- Independent store operation – a separate Shopify development store used to practise product page optimisation, collection structure and feed management.
