The factory works in solid wood, MDF, plywood, metal and glass, so one supplier can cover a full residential or hospitality furnishing package instead of one vendor per room.

What to specify before we quote

  • Product type, overall dimensions and any fixed space the item must fit.
  • Material: solid wood species, MDF, plywood, metal, glass or a combination.
  • Finish: veneer, laminate, lacquer, melamine, oil or powder-coated metal.
  • Upholstery fabric, foam density and colour reference.
  • Flat-pack or assembled shipping, and the packing standard you need.
  • Target market and the compliance requirements that apply there.

Materials, finishes and quality

Boards are selected for the destination market, including low-emission options where buyers need them. Structural joints, load ratings, hardware brand and upholstery stitching are agreed in writing before production, and a pre-production sample is approved before any bulk run. The inspection steps are the same ones described on the quality control page.

Customisation for importers and projects

  • Own dimensions to fit a specific room plan or container loading target.
  • Custom finish colours matched to a sample or a colour reference.
  • Branded labels, care cards, assembly instructions and retail packaging.
  • Mixed containers combining several collections.

Buyers who need private-label development rather than copies of an existing range can order through the same process as our OEM and ODM service.

Furniture and smart switches from one supplier

Project buyers often order switch faceplates and furniture hardware in the same finish, so both divisions can be quoted together and shipped in one container. See the smart switch range for the electrical side of the same project.

How to plan a furniture order

A furniture order becomes easier to quote when it starts from a room plan rather than a list of inspiration images. Mark the available wall length, ceiling height, door swings, window positions and the walkway that must stay clear. For upholstered pieces, record the maximum overall width and depth, not only the seat dimensions. For wardrobes and media walls, note any fixed services, sockets or air-conditioning units that the cabinet has to work around.

The next step is to divide the project into room types and quantities. A hotel or serviced apartment may need repeated bedroom sets, a smaller number of dining settings and a different specification for public areas. A retailer may instead need a balanced range that fills a mixed container. Both can be quoted from one schedule, but the packing method, hardware and surface protection should be chosen for how the goods will be handled after they leave the factory.

Materials, finishes and packing

Material selection is a system, not a single line on a quotation. The visible surface, substrate, edge banding, glue, hardware and packing all affect how the furniture performs. Solid wood, veneer, plywood, MDF, metal and glass can be combined within one collection, provided the buyer understands which parts are structural and which are decorative. Finish samples should be reviewed under the light expected in the final room, because a colour that looks neutral in a factory photo can turn warm or grey on site.

Where a market requires low-emission boards or specific documentation, the requirement should be stated with the destination country before sampling. Hardware brand and finish should also be confirmed early, especially when handles, sockets and switch faceplates must visually match. For freight, flat-pack construction reduces the volume of a sofa, wardrobe or table, but it adds assembly work and requires stronger corner protection. Assembled packing is faster to place but uses more container space.

Approval sequence for an OEM furniture order

A clear approval sequence prevents a small finish decision from delaying the whole container. The usual route is specification sheet, material and colour sample, shop drawing, pre-production sample, packing sample and final inspection plan. Each stage should have one owner on the buyer side and one written approval so that production does not continue on an unresolved question.

  • Approve dimensions and room clearances against the drawing.
  • Approve surfaces, upholstery, edge details and hardware finishes as a set.
  • Confirm flat-pack fittings, instructions and the spare-parts allowance.
  • Approve carton protection, labelling and the mixed-container loading plan.
  • Record the inspection points that must be checked before shipment.

The article on sourcing custom furniture from an OEM manufacturer explains how to compare quotations and supplier capabilities in more detail. Buyers who also need the electrical side of the project can combine furniture and smart switches in one specification, so finish references and delivery dates are aligned from the start.
